How about demand from a huge telecommunications company for the one piece of technology nearly everyone carries with them at nearly every waking hour? Or how about demand from different huge companies that control the real American pastime: watching television.
YouTube and Verizon may be partnering. In addition Comcast and Time Warner may be players as well.
YouTube, the largest video-sharing Web site, is working on a deal with Verizon Communications to bring its top-rated video shorts to Verizon Wireless customers, according to a Wall Street Journal report. Under the terms of the proposed partnership, Verizon will also broadcast YouTube content, on demand, over its nascent TV service.
